General Paediatrics

Dr Harry Zehnwirth has been practicing paediatrics for over 24 years. He assesses and manages a wide range of infant and childhood problems. All children need an initial referral by another doctor to be seen.

There has been a "paradigmal" shift in the last 10-15 years in the way we perceive and understand childhood behavioural disorders. There has been an explosion in diagnosis of conditions such as ADHD, Tic disorder (and Tourette’s Syndrome), adolescent anxiety and depression, learning disorders, developmental delay and intellectual disability, and particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder including Asperger’s Syndrome and high functioning Autism.

Management of epilepsy, asthma, eczema, growth disorder, inadequate weight gain, feeding issues, eating disorders, cerebral palsy, congenital malformations of the heart, brain, kidneys, hips, spine, eyes can be recognised and treated and/or referred.
